English cricketer Jos Buttler is a batsman and wicket-keeper who has represented his country a number of times and has established himself as one of the most exciting young prospects in English cricket.
Born in 1990 he has enjoyed a varied and successful domestic career having first played for Somerset before making a move over to Lancashire with brief stints for the Melbourne Renegades and Mumbai Indians.
Buttler first represented England in 2008 with a match for the U-17s against New Zealand. He progressed through the age levels and eventually made his senior team debut in 2011 with a Twenty20 match against India. He has since been repeatedly called up to the T20 team and was recently appointed to the Vice-Captaincy. His most notable performances include 73 not-out against Sri Lanka in T20 in 2016 and a 129 innings against New Zealand in their 2015 ODI match, in which he went on to win the Man of the Match award.
Buttler has travelled the world with the England squad and has also been included in the teams for the 2012, 2014 and 2016 T20 World Cups and the 2015 Cricket World Cup. His playing style has seen him become the lead wicket-keeper for his country as well as a well-respected and feared batsman.
